Government Camp Restrooms

The Government Camp Public Restrooms project provides a much-needed year-round public amenity for visitors and community members in Government Camp. Designed by Aligned Architecture for Clackamas County Tourism, the new 800-square-foot facility addresses the absence of public restrooms in the area while supporting the town’s role as a gateway to Mount Hood’s extensive recreational opportunities.

The project is strategically located adjacent to the Mount Hood Cultural Center & Museum and a public plaza—both of which are also being expanded and improved through coordinated design efforts by Aligned Architecture. Together, these projects strengthen the civic core of Government Camp, enhancing the visitor experience while creating welcoming, functional spaces for local residents.

Developed in close collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Mount Hood Cultural Center & Museum and the Government Camp community, the restroom facility is designed to be durable, accessible, and context-responsive. Its placement and design support year-round use and integrate seamlessly with the surrounding cultural and public spaces.

Government Camp Public Restrooms reflects Aligned Architecture’s commitment to thoughtful civic design—creating infrastructure that supports community life, enhances public spaces, and responds to the unique character of place.
